Born in Northern England, Mark Rowney was educated at St Martins School of Art in London. He went on to to work with several of his favourite publishers, producing artwork for Penguin Books, The Radio Times and various other BBC publications.
Rowney went on to live in New York where he continued to build on his commercial experience through projects with the New York Times and Time Magazine.
Now having moved back to the UK, Rowney now resides in the North East, where he pursues his love for nature in contemporary art. Mainly painting in acrylics, Rowney also creates unique carved leather frames for many of his pictures. You can view more or Mark Rowney’s work on his website and Behance profile.
I’ve seen Rowney’s leather work at The Biscuit Factory in Newcastle. They are incredibly detailed and beautiful.
I love the Biscuit Factory. Without doubt the best gallery I have every visited. Thank you for the feedback!
