James Jean is a Taiwanese-American artist, known for his commercial and fine art gallery work. He is known in the American comics industry for various works published by DC Comics. He’s also noted for his commercial work for Prada, ESPN and Atlantic Records.
Jean was commissioned in 2007 by Prada to create a mural for their Epicenter stores in New York and Los Angeles. He also created a backdrop for Prada’s Spring/Summer 2008 show in Milan. Elements of Jean’s mural were transformed into prints by Prada and used across clothing, handbags, shoes, and packaging.
